What decides the cost of an exhibition stand in Dubai?
Quotes for the same exhibition can differ by a large margin, and the cause is rarely the price of the builder. It is usually what the quote leaves out. Here is what drives the number, and how to compare quotes fairly.

Floor space is a separate bill
The organiser charges you for the floor space. The stand builder charges you for what stands on it. They are different invoices, and some comparison sites mix them. Ask every builder whether the quote includes the space, the organiser's fees and utilities, or only the build.
The six things that move the price
- Size and height. Every extra square metre adds structure, flooring and graphics. A second level adds engineering and approvals.
- Open sides. A corner or island stand needs finished walls on more sides than an inline one.
- Custom or modular. A fully custom fabrication costs more than a reusable modular system, but it also fits your brand more exactly.
- Finishes. Printed fabric, lacquered wood, metal and acrylic sit at very different price points.
- Technology. LED walls, touchscreens, lighting rigs and sound add hire or purchase costs and electrical load.
- Time. A rushed build costs more than one with a normal lead time.

Costs people forget to ask about
- Show-site rules: many venues require approved drawings, licensed contractors and fire-rated materials.
- Electrical points, internet and rigging, which the organiser often sells separately.
- Storage of reusable elements between shows.
- Installation and dismantle hours, including night work.
- Graphics changes after approval.
How to compare quotes
Give each builder the same brief: stand size, number of open sides, the show, the dates and a list of what you want on the stand. Then ask for the quote in the same layout: design, fabrication, graphics, technology, transport and installation, dismantle. Lined up like that, differences show where the money goes.
Ask where the stand is built. A builder with its own workshop controls quality and timing; one that subcontracts adds a layer you pay for.
Plan the calendar backwards
Big shows set the clock. GITEX Global 2026 runs on 7 to 11 December at Expo City Dubai, so a stand for it needs design sign-off weeks before. Count back from the show: organiser deadlines for drawings, build time, shipping for imported items, then design. If you are close, tell the builder at the first call.
We design and fabricate stands and kiosks in-house, and the stand you approve is the one that arrives on site. See exhibition stands and production or send us your show details for a quote.
Questions
How much does an exhibition stand cost in Dubai?
It depends on size, open sides, finishes and technology. Rather than trust a headline figure, send the same brief to several builders and compare quotes line by line.
Is exhibition floor space included in the stand builder's price?
Usually not. The organiser charges for the floor space and the builder charges for the stand. Ask every builder what their quote includes.
How far ahead should I book a stand builder for a Dubai show?
As early as you can, and before the organiser's deadline for stand drawings. A normal lead time costs less than a rushed one.
