UAE marketing and activation calendar: key dates from October 2026 to mid-2027
Most UAE activations are built around a short list of dates. This calendar puts the retail moments, trade shows and holidays between now and mid-2027 in one place, and says when to start planning for each.
Short answer
The main UAE activation windows between October 2026 and mid-2027 are White Friday (27 November), National Day (2 and 3 December), the Dubai Shopping Festival (4 December 2026 to 17 January 2027), GITEX Global (8 to 11 December), Ramadan (expected from 8 February 2027), Gulfood (15 to 19 March) and Eid Al Adha (expected around 16 May).

When to start for each window
These are our working lead times for in-store and mall campaigns, built on the permit timelines in our promotion permit and event permit guides. Retailers and venues set their own booking deadlines, so ask them early.
- Ramadan and Eid: start about four months ahead. Read our Ramadan 2027 guide.
- Dubai Shopping Festival and National Day: a promotion with prizes needs at least 30 days for approval, so the practical deadline for the 4 December start is already close.
- Exhibitions: stand drawings are due weeks before the show. See the exhibition stand checklist.
- Back to school and summer: plan from the spring, since family traffic shifts with the school calendar.
Reading the calendar as a brand
Three patterns repeat. First, the weeks around holidays bring more shoppers into stores and malls, but also more brands competing for the same stand space and the same promoters. Second, trade shows bring a different audience, business visitors, so a stand there is judged on leads and orders, not footfall. Third, school breaks move family traffic into malls and out of the country, so a family activation timed for the wrong week can run to quiet floors.
